The group formed in 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is currently composed of lead vocalist Andy Biersack, multi instrumentalist Jinxx, lead guitarist Jake Pitts, drummer Christian “CC” Coma and bassist Lonny Eagleton. Black Veil Brides are known for their use of black makeup, body paint, tight black studded clothing, and long hair, which were all inspired by the stage personas of Kiss and Mötley Crüe, as well as other 1980s glam metal acts.

It consists of unclean vocalist Jon Mess, lead guitarist Will Swan, clean vocalist and rhythm guitarist Andrew Wells, and drummer Matthew Mingus. Swan and Mingus are the only band members who have appeared on every studio album.
On May 10, 2024, the band released two new singles “Speed Demon” and “Straight from the Heart” with Andrew Wells on clean vocals. Wells stated in an interview on the Brewtally Speaking Podcast that the band intends for Mess to be the frontman of the band with Wells handling clean vocals and they will be joined by Martin Bianchini of Secret Band on guitar for their 2024 tour.

They opened with an intro from ACDC’s Highway to Hell being played through the speakers as they entered the stage. Once on stage they started with their hit “Prequel,” immediately whipping the crowd into a frenzy. The pulsing electronic beats that blend with heavy guitar riffs perfectly captured the band’s unique fusion of rock, hip-hop, and metal. Ronnie Radke’s commanding stage presence was felt from the first note, stalking the stage with his signature confidence, while the audience screamed every lyric back at him.
Ronnie Radke’s interactions with the audience were just as much a part of the show as the music. He has a unique way of balancing self-assured swagger with moments of real emotion.
