MGK Takes Over Connecticut During The Lost Americana Tour

What began as a night of music & nostalgia quickly turned into a race for shelter as a severe thunderstorm swept through Hartford with strong winds up to 70mph.

DE’WAYNE kicks off the night with a stage presence immediately capturing the crowd’s attention. Often resembling a unique blend of Prince and Freddie Mercury, he commanded the stage with flamboyant movements, confidence, and an undeniable charisma that made him impossible to ignore.

Throughout his set, he remained fully engaged with the audience, feeding off their energy while encouraging them to join in. While his vocals carried a softer tone, they were emotionally moving and complimented the expressive nature of his performance. DE’WAYNE proved that captivating an audience is about more than volume, it is about connection, authenticity, and personality.

Dominating the set was an oversized Statue of Liberty head complete with a cigarette hanging from its mouth.

Throughout the performance, MGK made it clear that connecting with fans was a priority. Multiple times during the set, he left the comfort of the stage and dropped down to the audience’s level, singing directly with fans and creating memorable moments of genuine interaction.

The production valued continued to escalate as the night went on, including use of a flame thrower that set bursts of fire into the air, drawing loud reactions from the crowd.
