On a perfect clear night by Boston Harbor, with the lights shining off the harbor it was time for the fans to sit back and watch an amazing show. The view was amazing as the guests started piling into the Leader Bank Pavilion for an epic night of Music to watch the Goo Goo Dolls perform live.
With the perfect scene set; the first band of the night, Blue October, was set to perform. They are a band that was formed in Houston, TX. Even though over the years the band members have changed the music has not.
The band was formed in 1995 and is currently composed of singer/guitarist Justin Furstenfeld, drummer Jeremy Furstenfeld, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Delahoussaye, bassist Matt Novesky and lead guitarist Will Knack. They still have that Alternative Rock style music. They came out to the stage and the crowd cheered as they were ready for the night to begin. They came out with their song, “Coal Makes Diamonds.” They played a few of their hit songs throughout their set which included, “Hate Me,” Home,” and “Daylight.”
The band finished their set with “Moving On,” and “I Hope Your Happy.” They are fun and energetic and the crowd really seemed to enjoy their set, If you ever get a chance to see them you should take the opportunity and not miss them.
Now was time for the feature performers the Goo Goo Dolls to take the stage. They are an American rock band formed out of Buffalo, NY in the late 80’s. They first started as a cover band, but quickly realized that their punk music original sound was too good for them not to go mainstream. The band has had 19 top ten singles on various charts, and has sold 15 million records worldwide, and has been nominated for four Grammy Awards. The Goo Goo Dolls are currently touring off of their latest album Chaos In Bloom.
When the band hit the stage, the fans were screaming as they were ready to see the long time legendary band play live. The fans were rearing to party and enjoy the night.
They played some of their hits songs which included, “Slide”, “Machine”, “Miracle Pill” and “Lucky Star.” Throughout their set, the fans were enjoying listening to the music while enjoying the atmosphere and the amazing night. They continued their set, with “So Alive”, “War” and “Life’s A Message”. It was a perfect night all around.
It was time for the night to come to a close and the band had a few more final songs. They ended their set with their biggest hits, “Better Days” and “Iris”, which also just hit 1 billion streams on Spotify. The fans were singing aloud and cheering. If you follow them and listen to them they are a band to see live. They put on a great performance and the fans left with a feeling of amazement.
