With the popularity of the recently released Barbie Movie, it was only fitting for Aqua to hit the road and tour again.

First up for the evening was Australian singer, songwriter, and record producer Vassy. The Australian powerhouse commanded the stage with unparalleled energy, effortlessly blending pop, dance, and soulful vocals. The crowd was entranced by her dynamic presence, as she belted out hits like “Bad,” “Nothing to Lose,” and “Hustlin’.”  Vassy’s connection with the audience was palpable, turning the venue into a pulsating dance floor.  This unforgettable night showcased Vassy’s undeniable talent and cemented her status as a true pop sensation. The fans were left wanting more and were ready for the remainder of the night to come.

Last up for the evening wasDanish-Norwegian Europop band Aqua. This was the first time the band has been in the US since 1997. Their performance was a nostalgic journey that transported the audience back to the ’90s, when their infectious pop sound ruled the charts. The Danish group, best known for their mega-hit “Barbie Girl,” delivered a lively and entertaining show that had the crowd dancing from start to finish.

As the lights dimmed, the stage came alive with vibrant colors and the iconic silhouette of Aqua’s members, setting the tone for a night of unabashed fun. The opening notes of “Cartoon Heroes” immediately elicited cheers, and the energy in the venue skyrocketed. Lene Nystrøm’s vocals were as vibrant and powerful as ever, effortlessly capturing the essence of the band’s signature sound.

Aqua skillfully mixed their classic hits with tracks from their latest album, proving their ability to evolve while staying true to their roots. The crowd sang along enthusiastically to every word, creating a communal atmosphere of pure joy and nostalgia. The chemistry between Nystrøm and René Dif was palpable, and their on-stage banter added a personal touch to the performance. Highlighting the set was, of course, the iconic “Barbie Girl,” which sent the crowd into a frenzy of excitement. Along with that they played “Lollipop (Candyman.)” and “Doctor Jones.” The playful choreography and the band’s infectious enthusiasm turned the venue into a dance party reminiscent of the music videos that defined an era.

Their performance was a testament to the enduring power of ’90s pop music. As the final notes of “Roses Are Red” echoed through the venue, it was evident that Aqua had not only delivered a memorable performance but had also successfully transported the audience back to a time of carefree fun and unapologetic pop bliss.
