Nonpoint Sells Out Wally’s In Hampton Beach New Hampshire

Nonpoint and The Million Watts Tour has been tearing up the country, it was now time for New Hampshire to get in on the action and experience all the caos for a sold out show.

First up for the night was from NY was Vrsty.  The band is comprised of guitarist Paul Gregory, bassist Javier Dorrejo, drummer Chris Cody, and Tyler.  The band’s dynamic blend of alternative and post-hardcore genres created an electrifying atmosphere.

The setlist, a mix of fan favorites and new releases, kept the energy high throughout their set. The fans could feel their energy from the moment the first riff of the first note was echoed. Their concert was a visceral testament to their musical prowess and stage presence.

The next band of the evening was Canadian Rock band from Hamilton, ON Sumo Cyco. The band consists of lead vocalist Skye Sweetnam, guitarist Matt Drake, bassist Oscar Anesetti, and drummer Joey Muha. The band emerged as a punk-metal act in 2011 and has since released three studio albums and numerous singles.  On May 7, 2021, the band released their third album, Initiation. A deluxe version was issued on October 8, 2021, featuring the new single “Sun Eater”.

They opened their set with “Sleep Tight.” Their next song was a cover of System Of A Down’s “B.Y.O.B.”  Frontwoman Skye Sweetnam commanded the stage with fierce vocals and dynamic charisma, while the band’s high-octane sound ignited the crowd. Sweetnam was seen a few time during the set going into the crowd and singing with the fans. The fans were loving every minute. They were cheering and screaming and singing along with the band.

The intimate venue amplified the intensity, creating an unforgettable night of punk-rock mayhem. They rounded out their set with “Move Mountains,” and “No Surrender.” This was a great performance by an incredibly talented group of individuals and it showed with their outstanding performance tonight.

Next band of the evening was American Rock band from Huntington Beach, CA Hed PE. The band is known for its electric genre-crossing style, predominantly in the fusion of gangsta rap and punk rock.  In August 2020, Hed PE released the album Class of 2020 which was described as a return to the original G-punk sound of the band. The moment the band took the stage the fans were on their feet. They opened their set with “Peer Pressure.”

The setlist spanned their discography, offering a journey through their diverse musical evolution. Some of these songs included “Killing Time,” “Blackout,” and “Lets Ride.” The intensity of their performance was matched by the band’s tight musicianship, particularly the fierce guitar work and thunderous percussion. Frontman Jared Gomes led the charge with his electrifying stage presence, seamlessly transitioning between rap verses and gritty vocals. The fans were on their feet screaming and cheering. The crowd matched the bands intensity as they continued through their set.

The intimate atmosphere allowed for a direct connection between the band and the audience, fostering a sense of unity in the face of the sonic onslaught. Their performance was a testament to their enduring energy and ability to captivate fans with their unique blend of aggressive sounds. This was a band that got you hooked the minute they started playing. The fans were overjoyed.

The final band of the evening and the band the fans had been waiting to see was American Rock band from Fort Lauderdale, FL Nonpoint.  The band currently consists of vocalist Elias Soriano, drummer Robb Rivera, rhythm guitarist Rasheed Thomas, bassist Adam Woloszyn, and lead guitarist Jaysin Zeilstra. Nonpoint was formed in 1997 by Rivera and Soriano. They released two independent demo albums in the 1990s, followed by their major label debut album, Statement, in 2000.

From the moment the band hit the stage, the venue was engulfed in a sonic onslaught that showcased their mastery of hard-hitting, groove-laden metal. The pulsating rhythms of drummer Robb Rivera and the thunderous bass lines of Adam Woloszyn provided a solid foundation, driving the crowd into a frenzy.

Lead vocalist Elias Soriano’s raw and powerful vocals soared through the venue, commanding attention and connecting with fans on a visceral level. Guitarists BC Kochmit and Rasheed Thomas unleashed a barrage of heavy riffs and blistering solos, adding layers of intensity to the sonic tapestry.
The setlist was a carefully curated mix of old favorites and tracks from their latest album, creating a perfect balance that satisfied both longtime fans and newcomers. It consisted of songs such as “A Million Watts,”Chaos and Earthquakes,” a Beastie Boys cover “Fight for your Right.” They also played “That Day,” which had Skye from Sumo Cyco singing along with them.

This was an incredible night had by all. It was definitely a night to remember. The fans and the bands had unleashed barrels of energy and was shown throughout the night. They proved how incredibly talented these guys are.
