Wally’s, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of New Hampshire, played host to an extraordinary night of music featuring some amazing bands. The intimate venue buzzed with anticipation as fans eagerly awaited the for two of the hottest acts in the scene.
The night kicked off with a burst of energy as American rock band Any Given Sin made their grand entrance, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.
The band tonight may look a bit different as they had to make some last minute band changes. Bassist Rich Stevenson was unable to attend tonight’s show due to a spite with Covid. It was a sudden occurrence so the band was unable to find a fill in. Guitarist Mike Conner was unable to attend this tour so he was filled in by guitarist Chris Dean. Even with the look of the new lineup the atmosphere was electric, with the crowd immediately drawn into the band’s magnetic presence.
During the set a fan yelled to the band “where is Rich?” Lead singer Victor Richie responded “He is back at the hotel dealing with covid, having a lot less fun then we are having.”
From the very first note, it was evident that this was not just a concert; it was an immersive experience that transcended the boundaries of conventional live performances. The seamless transitions between songs showcased the band’s mastery of their craft, keeping the audience engaged and entranced throughout the entire set.
Next band to hit the stage was Canadian American rock group, Saint Asonia with current lineup featuring former Three Days Grace lead vocalist and guitarist Adam Gontier, lead guitarist Tavis Stanley, bassist and backing vocalist Cale Gontier, and drummer Cody Watkins.From the moment the band stepped onto the stage, an infectious energy filled the venue, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and excitement. Lead vocalist Adam Gontier’s distinctive voice echoed through the air, carrying emotional depth and vulnerability that connected with the audience on a profound level. The seamless interplay between Gontier and the talented band members showcased their musical chemistry, making each song a journey into the heart of Saint Asonia’s landscape.
The setlist was a well-crafted mix of Saint Asonia Signature tracks and Three Days Grace covers. They were delivered with a raw intensity that left the crowd enthralled. They even threw in a couple of bonus covers which included Apocalyptica”s “I Don’t Care, “and The Weekend’s “Blinding Lights.”
Saint Asonia was nothing short of spectacular, leaving the audience yearning for more as the final notes reverberated through the air. The band’s ability to balance powerful rock anthems with poignant ballads showcased the depth of their musical talents.
Finally the last band of the night was American Rock Band from Edmonton,KY Black stone Cherry. The band consists of Chris Robertson (lead vocals, lead guitar), Ben Wells (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Steve Jewell (bass, backing vocals) and John Fred Young (drums, backing vocals).As soon as they hit the stage they unleashed a huge amount of energy, captivating the audience in a night filled with soul-stirring melodies and blistering guitar riffs. From the first chord to the final encore, the band’s energy was infectious, turning the venue into a haven for rock enthusiasts.
The band’s tight-knit camaraderie was evident in their seamless transitions and electrifying stage presence. They flawlessly weaved through their extensive catalog, offering a dynamic setlist that ranged from gritty anthems like “White Trash Millionaire” to heartfelt ballads like “In My Blood.”
The crowd, a sea of raised hands and swaying bodies, mirrored the band’s enthusiasm, creating an electric synergy between performers and fans. Guitarist Ben Wells’ blistering solos and the rhythmic foundation laid by bassist Jon Lawhon and drummer John Fred Young added layers to the sonic tapestry, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.
