It was a cold rainy evening in Boston as fans were waiting to see Dustin Lynch and Skeez perform at the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston.
First act was multidimensional vocalist and songwriter Skeez. As he entered the stage he came out in a white t-shirt and shorts.
This was his second time in Boston, for which he loves. As the show was going on the Boston Bruins were playing in the first round of the stanley cup finals. The Boston Celtics were also in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. He said that he is a big Celtics fan.
As he came on the stage the fans were ready and started cheering. The fans were ready for the night to begin. Most of the fans were seen in blankets and sweatshirts and trying to move around to keep warm.
His setlist complied songs that fans knew and loved. During the show He said to the crowd “I might have had a few too many cocktails. We are gonna pass out some shots with the band and did a toast to Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics”. He continued, “Not sure what song were are going to play next. I forgot my setlist. The fans cheered and laughed. They continued with “Leave Me Here.”

You guys will know this song.” He continued to play a Tim McGraw cover of “Live Like You Were Dying.” The fans were waving their phones in the air with their lights on as to set the scene with the lights around the venue. “I want everyone to have a good fu**ing time. He played the chorus one last time and the crowd sang the verse themselves. This was his first country record. “Thanks Boston.”
Last act of the evening was American Country singer and songwriter from Tullahoma, TN Dustin Lynch. He is touring to promote his new single “Killed The Cowboy.”
Before he came to the stage in the background there was a video playing that showed clips of old time movies and old time cowboys. As the video neared ending Lynch came up through the middle of the stage. He started his set with “Killed The Cowboy.” He then went into “Seeing Red,” while the entire stage and strobe lights were all in Red. The fans were on their feet cheering and screaming.
He continued with another one of his newest singles, “Stars Like Confetti.” “Lets Keep It Going,” continued into “Where It’s At.” He moved to the each side of the venue and asked the crowd “How are we feeling over this side?” The fans cheered loudly as each of their sections of the venue were called to cheer and scream. “That’s’ What I am talking about now we are ready?” He came back to the middle of the stage and spoke to the crowd. ” I can’t believe it’s a Thursday night in Boston. I can’t believe it is playoff hockey and basketball season. Let’s put on the best show in Boston. We need a shotgun performance from the bruins. We will keep you updated on the score backstage. We want you to get out every ounce of energy you can. We need to feed off your energy!” He then proceeded into a chant with the crowd. “Yee Haw, Yee Haw!”
“It’s good to back in Boston baby!” He goes into his next song “Riding Roads.” “Damn your singing great tonight. Are you starting to warm up yet? It is only the 4th song, this is what I love about Boston. I go to the Red Sox game in the afternoon and sweat my a@@ off and I get here to come on stage and I am looking for a snowflakes.” The fans cheered loudly.
He continued with his newest promotional single “Tequila On A Boat.” While singing Skeez comes and helps with the vocals. The fans were singing along and cheering as both singers sang together. “We missed you guys we should do some tequila shots. We need a senorita to come on stage to help us do some shots. We are going to play a game of tequila shots with fans. ” He then invited one lady to come on stage to have a shot with him and the band. The fans were cheering the lady on as she took the shot and drank it with Lynch and Skeez.
He then went into “Hell of A Night.” They blasted some smoke into the audience from the smoke machines.
“We want to raise a glass for country music. Raise a glass for you guys coming out her tonight and singing and hanging with us. What songs do we do? We are going to try and squeeze in a bunch of songs that you can relate to. He then stated that the next song he was pleasantly surprised just went platinum last week. “”I’d Be Jealous Too,” It is about walking into a bar and the other guys start checking your girl out. This song is off his newest album “Killed The Cowboy.” He continued with “If I Stop Drinking.”
The next song was a cover of Alan Jackson’s “Chattahoochee.” During this song the background video showed country line dancers dancing. At the end of the song he tips his hat for Alan Jackson.
The next song you need to grab your dance partner “Red Dirt Blue Eyes”started playing next. He came to the mic and said “my Momma is my biggest fan so I am going to go home for this one.” He continued with “Mommas House.” During this song he had scenes of fire playing in the background.
During the next song, “Cowboys and Angels,” he stopped the song mid song to say that in the audience there was a couple that was celebrating their first anniversary and someone at their first concert. “I wrote this song for my grandparents as a present for their anniversary one year. Its about them and how they are still together and his grandma is still bossy as ever. Their love song is his first single.” He told them he wanted to have them go to the Grand Ole Opry and play and that happened. His grandparents came to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on their 68th wedding anniversary last April. “First responders and military are our cowboys and angels. Thank you for your service. He sang the rest of the song for them.
He sang a few more songs then went into a Joe Diffie cover of “Prop Me up Beside The Jukebox.” The show was coming to an end. He went off stage and came back on stage wearing a Brad Marchand Bruins jersey. The fans cheered and screamed as he came out and played “Thinking of You.” Boston is one of the places that different pieces and different parts make up the greatest city in the states in my opinion. He ended his set with “Small Town Boy.” He put on an amazing show and fans left wanting more. Till next time Boston!
