Games We Play Perform Their Final Show Of Their First Headline Tour In Boston, MA

The fans were lined up on Brighton Ave eagerly waiting to get into Brighton Music Hall to see Games We Play on their final show of their first ever headlining tour.

First band of the night was a young singer-songwriter from New York City Zoe Ko. She has been singing and writing her whole life but wrote her very first full length song at 12 years old when her grandfather passed away. She ended up doing multiple music programs in high school, internships in the industry and eventually started doing music as an artist herself at a professional level when she was 18. She released her first song “Line” a year ago on May 6th! Everything took off from there. She just got back from her very first tour supporting Friday Pilots Club and now has her first EP, “Baby Teeth” coming out this year.  Her music is special because it is unfiltered, fun and wild but still deep and emotional.

As she entered the stage the fans were lined up against the barricade wanting to get a glimpse of the new hot young singer. She opened her set with her new EP “Baby Teeth.” She got the crowd up and moving with her high energy and charisma on stage. The fans that were new to her music were jumping, screaming and cheering and the fans that knew her were singing along to the songs.  She kept her set going with “Eat,” “Line,” “and “Pink Noise.”  She is definitely an up and coming star. If you have a chance to see her you must see her perform live.

The next act of the evening was punk rock trio from Texas House Parties. They introduce themselves to the world through lively gang vocals, dynamic drum fills, and driving guitars that stay the course through the entire set. They have a new EP out in 2024 called “Side Effects.” They have released a few other EP’s as well such as “Get A Grip.” “Mid-life Crisis,” and “Waterworks.” Their hit single “Braindead was released in 2023. They are a new band that has been around only a few years so they are still new to the industry but are slowly making a name for themselves.

As soon as they came on stage, the band was ready to play and ready to rock. They came out with tons of energy and got the crowd moving. They entered the stage and played a Demi Lovato Cover “Heart Attack.”

The crowd was jumping and dancing to the music. For those fans that had not heard their stuff they were just listening and moving around but for the fans that new their stuff they were singing along and enjoying themselves.
They played a mix of their new Ep’s and a cover of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” This was a band worth checking out live if you can. They put on a great show and the audience seemed to enjoy them as well.

The final band of the evening was another punk rock trio from Nashville Games We Play.  The band consists of  Emmyn Calleiro, Kyle Fink and Chase Vernon. Life’s Going Great” the band’s debut album was released on March 1st, 2024. They are touring off this album.

From the moment the first chord hit through the venue, it was evident that this wasn’t going to be an ordinary concert. The atmosphere crackled with energy as the band came on stage and started playing. The fans were energized and ready to party.
They came on stage to “Oh So Blue” and continued with “The End,” “Deadbeat,” and “Typical Me.” The fans were on their feet dancing, jumping, and even started moshing. The band was loving seeing the fans interact to their songs.

The set list consisted of some of their beginning songs but mostly their new songs that some of the fans knew and enjoyed. The fans seemed to love the new single and were cheering and singing along. The energy in the venue was evident to the band and they seemed to match it with their intensity on stage.
They continued their set with one of their biggest hits “Get A Job.”  They continued off that with “Hey Ben,” “Pretty Enemy,” and “All My Untalented Friends.”

Their energy, intensity, enthusiasm, crowd interaction and charism showed how talented these guys are. They were jumping, and moving about the stage interacting with the fans and getting a true feel of how it is to headline their own tour. They rounded out their set with “Pretty Boy,” “Girl Shaped Crater,” and ended with their newest hit off their new album “I Hope Your Happy.” This is a band that is going to be up and coming and fans fell in love with. If you have a chance to see them this is a must see. The band thanked the fans for coming to the final show of their first ever headline tour.
