The Stigma Tour Feat. Wage War At Roadrunner Boston

Wage War took over Roadrunner Boston with an explosive performance, igniting the crowd with their signature sound and powerful presence, leaving fans exhilarated and wanting more.

The first band of the evening was American rock band from Palm Beach, Florida  Fame On Fire. The band consists of Bryan Kuznitz on vocals, Blake Saul on guitar, Paul Spirou on bass, and Alex Roman on drums.

They opened their set with “No Tomorrow.” From the moment they launched into their opening track, the fusion of rock and pop-infused melodies was palpable. Their unique sound, characterized by catchy hooks and powerful vocals, resonated throughout the venue. Kuznitz showcased impressive vocal range and charisma, effortlessly engaging the audience with both soaring ballads and high-energy anthems.

Fame on Fire concluded their set with a bang, performing their new hit “Chains”. Fans were left buzzing, eagerly discussing their favorite moments and already anticipating the band’s next tour.

Next band to hit the stage was Swedish hardcore punk and metalcore band formed in 2019, and are signed to Arising Empire Thrown. The group consists of vocalist Marcus Lundqvist, guitarists Johan Liljeblad and Andreas Malm, and drummer/producer Buster Odeholm (Humanity’s Last Breath and Vildhjarta).

The band released their debut album, Excessive Guilt (stylized in uppercase), in August 2024, consisting of 11 songs. As the lights dimmed, the crowd erupted in cheers, and Thrown took the stage with an infectious enthusiasm that immediately set the tone for the evening. Opening with “Guilt,” the band showcased their unique blend of alternative rock and experimental sounds. The lead vocalist’s powerful voice soared above the instrumentals, capturing the audience’s attention from the very first note.

Throughout the set, the chemistry among the band members was palpable. Each member contributed their own flair, from the intricate guitar riffs to the pulsating bass lines. The drummer, in particular, commanded the stage with a dynamic performance that kept the energy high. Songs like “Backfire” and “On The Verge” had the crowd singing along, creating a communal atmosphere that is often hard to find in larger venues.

As the set drew to a close, the encore brought the house down. With a heart-pounding performance of their breakout hit, “Grayout,” the crowd erupted into a frenzy, singing along and dancing with abandon. The energy in the room was electric, a testament to the band’s growing fanbase and undeniable appeal.

The next band of the evening to hit the stage was Erra The band has released six studio albums and three EPs to date. Their latest album, titled Cure, was released on April 5, 2024. 

From the moment they launched into their set, Erra showcased their signature blend of intricate guitar work and soaring vocals. Frontman JT Cavey commanded the stage with a magnetic presence, effortlessly transitioning from melodic clean singing to aggressive screams, drawing the crowd into an intense emotional experience. The dual guitarists, Alex Ballew and Jesse Cash, dazzled with their technical prowess, executing complex riffs and harmonies that had the audience headbanging in unison.

The band’s setlist featured tracks from their latest album, Erra,as well as older stuff which included standout songs like “Pale Iris” and “Idle Wild,” which resonated deeply with longtime fans and newcomers alike. The seamless transitions between heavy breakdowns and melodic interludes highlighted their growth as musicians while keeping the energy high throughout the night.

As the night drew to a close, the band delivered an encore that included fan-favorite “Slow Sour Bleed” and “Snowblood leaving the audience buzzing with adrenaline and excitement. Erra’s performance was not just a concert; it was a celebration of their artistry and the community they’ve built within the metalcore scene.

Overall, Erra was a night to remember. Their blend of technical skill, emotional depth, and engaging stage presence proves why they continue to be a standout act in the genre. For anyone who had the opportunity to attend, it was a powerful reminder of the magic live music can create.

The final performer of the night was  American metalcore band formed in Ocala, Florida Wage War. The band consists of lead vocalist Briton Bond, lead guitarist Seth Blake, rhythm guitarist and clean vocalist Cody Quistad, bassist Chris Gaylord, and drummer Stephen Kluesener. They released their fifth studio album, Stigma, on June 21, 2024.

Kicking off the night with “The Show’s About To Start,” the band immediately set the tone with heavy riffs and frontman Briton’s commanding vocals. The synergy between the band members was evident, with guitarist Cody Quistad and bassist Seth Blake driving the sound with their intricate guitar work and tight rhythms. The chemistry was infectious, pulling the audience into the experience from the first note.

Wage War’s setlist was a well-curated mix of fan favorites and tracks from their latest album, Manic. Songs like “Low” and “Godspeed” had the crowd singing along, creating an atmosphere that felt more like a celebration than just a concert. The band expertly balanced heavy breakdowns with melodic choruses, showcasing their growth as musicians while keeping the energy at an all-time high.

As the night neared its end, the band closed with “Johnny Cash,” a powerful anthem that left a lasting impact, and “Manic. The combination of heartfelt lyrics and soaring instrumentals had everyone in attendance feeling every emotion. The encore was a fitting conclusion, leaving fans buzzing with excitement as they filed out of the venue.
