The night was young and quiet. The city of Phoenix was busy but parts of it were sleepy. Those that were out were either running errands, buying Christmas gifts or heading to The Van Buren for a show. Tonight’s show was going to be a great one, it was The Black Moods headlining. The last time they played in Phoenix was a year ago at Talking Stick Casino.
As everyone entered the venue, they were talking excitedly. Many made their way to the stage or their seats to get ready for the fun show that is about to go down while the rest went to the merch tables and bar. The first band was getting ready to hit the stage; as they took to the stage fans were getting more excited. The Deadbeat Cousins finally took to the stage. They began their set and everyone was getting into their set, enjoying the music. The fans enjoyed the blusey, jazz sound. The band did not enter act with the crowd often and stayed in their spots but the fans enjoyed their musical blend of both of the genres

The stagehands came onto the stage, getting it ready for the next band: Royal Bliss. The band came into the stage and the crowd cheered with excitement! Royal Bliss originally formed in 1977 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their current lineup consists of Neal Middleton—lead vocals, Taylor Richards—guitar, Jake Smith—drums and Brian Hennesy-bass guitar. The minute they began playing, their energy was infectious. The band moved around all over the stage! Captivating the audience and interacting with them. Every time Middleton addressed the audience, the audience reacted. They screamed, clapped and talked back to the band. Middleton then screamed “ROCK N ROLL IS MEDICATION!” To the audience and they screamed back in agreement! Their sound was reminiscent of an amazing band called Burn Halo.

It was finally the time of the night everyone was looking forward to, It was time for The Black Moods to hit the stage! This local Phoenix band was a city favorite. Their energy was off the charts. The band hit the ground running and they wouldn’t be slowing down anytime soon! The fans went absolutely nuts; cheering and screaming their hearts out. The fans loved their 70s, Led Zeppelin type sound. The band did not stand still the whole night. They took command of the stage, utilizing every inch for their performance. They moved about and gave fans every angle possible. The audience sang along to every song, not a moment went by where the audience was silent. It was evident that The Black Moods knew how to make, and keep their fans entertained. When it was time to leave and end the night everyone walked out with a smile on their face, evidence of an amazing show!
