Hank Williams Jr Plays To All His Rowdy Friends In Mansfield, Ma

Hank Williams Jr was ready to bring classic country to the stage for his All My Rowdy Friends Tour in Mansfield.

The first act of the evening was country singer from Del Rio, TX William Beckmann. He delivers a fresh blend of vintage country, Americana and Latin music with a timeless baritone and an old soul maturity that belies his youth. His 2022 album Faded Memories, featuring the slow-burn single “Bourbon Whiskey” as well as a mesmerizing cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire” and the haunting “In The Dark.” The album garnered praise from critics including American Songwriter, Billboard, CMT and more. His current single “Tennessee Drinkin’” from his most recent “Here’s To You. Here’s To Me” album is Beckmann’s fifth consecutive to hit the Top 20 at Texas Regional Radio Chart and fastest rising to date.

Beckmann has amassed an incredible fanbase, independently garnering more than 670,000 followers on TikTok and over 3 million streams of Faded Memories. He has spent the last year touring with artists including Parker McCollum, Koe Wetzel and Randy Rogers Band, sold out three shows at legendary Gruene Hall and made his Grand Ole Opry debut in Spring, 2023.

The fans were piling in as he hit the stage. They were listening to his music as they were finding their seat. The next act of the evening was American Blues, Country, and Americana singer, guitarist, and song writer Charlie Crockett.  In September 2023, Crockett was nominated for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year at the 2023 Americana Music Honors & Awards.In early 2024, Crockett announced that his album, $10 Cowboy, would be released on April 26.  He celebrated the announcement with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he performed the album’s title track.

Crockett brought the heart and soul of Texas to life in an unforgettable performance. Opening his set, Crockett immediately set the tone with his smooth vocals and laid-back guitar picking. His band, a tight-knit ensemble of talented musicians, complemented his sound with soulful harmonies and tight rhythms. The audience was transported to a bygone era of honky-tonks and juke joints as Crockett effortlessly navigated through his repertoire.

The final act of the evening was artist known professionally as Hank Williams Jr. or Bocephus, an American singer-songwriter and musician. His musical style has been described as a blend of rock, blues, and country. He is the son of country musician Hank Williams and the father of musicians Holly Williams and Hank Williams III, and the grandfather of Coleman Williams. He is also the half brother of Jett Williams.

Taking the stage with his signature cowboy hat and rugged charm, Hank Jr. kicked off the evening with “Are You Ready for The Country?,” setting the tone for a night of high-energy country rock. His gravelly voice, reminiscent of his legendary father’s, resonated throughout the hall, immediately captivating the audience. Backed by a seasoned band that included stellar guitarists and a tight rhythm section, Hank Jr. effortlessly delivered hit after hit. Songs like “Family Tradition” and “Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound” had the crowd singing along and raising their glasses in celebration of classic country storytelling.
